Be The Best Of Whatever You Are

If you can't be a pine on the top of a hill
Be a scrub in the valley, but be the best little scrub on the side of the hill
Be a bush if you can't be a tree,
If you can't be a bush be a bit of the grass
And some highway happier make.
If you can't be a muskie, then just be a bass,
But the liveliest bass in the lake.
We can't all be captains, we've got to be crew,
There's something for all of us here.
There's big work to do and there's lesser work, too,
And the thing we must do is the near
If you can't be a highway, then just be a trail.
If you can't be the sun, be a star.
It isn't by size that you win or you fail.
Be the best of whatever you are.

欣赏自己

也许你想成为太阳,可你却只是一颗星辰；
也许你想成为大树,可你却只是一棵小草；
也许你想成为江河,可你却只是一条小溪.
于是,你很自卑.
很自卑的你,总以为命运在捉弄自己,其实,你不必这样：欣赏别人的时候,一切都好,审视自己的时候,却总是很糟糕.和别人一样,你也是一片风景,也有太阳,也有空气,也有寒来暑往,甚至有别人未曾见过的一棵青草,甚至有别人未曾听见的虫鸣……
做不了大树,就做小草,用自己的绿色装点希望.
做不了江河,就做小溪,用自己的清澈洗濯生活的无奈.
做不了太阳,就做星辰,在自己的星座里发光发热.
做不了伟大,就做实在的自我,平凡并不自卑,关键是必须做最好的自己.
在欣赏别人的同时也要欣赏一下自己!你一定会发现,天空一样高远,大地一样宽阔,别人有别人的活法,自己有自己的活法.只要活得精彩,活得有价值,就比什么都强!
